Question : My 9 month had blood sugar of 7.8 is this normal
I had gestational diabetes whilst pregnant and husband is type 1
I had gestational diabetes whilst pregnant and husband is type 1
Hi,
Welcome to XXXXXXX
The normal range of fasting blood sugar is 3.5 to 6.0 mmol/L.
Thus if 7.8 is fasting blood sugar, it is high.
Gestational diabetes can occur during pregnancy, but it is not transmitted through heredity, but if father has type-1, son is predisposed to it.
Please consult a pediatrician for proper evaluation and treatment(if required).
Thanks for trusting XXXXXXX and posting your query.
Hope you found my response to your query informative and helpful.
