Brief Answer:
Exercise would help to build

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Present loss of muscle mass may not be related to the GB syndrome you had 15 years ago. The muscle loss and weakness could be due to lack of exercise or poor nutrition.

If the muscle loss is associated with numbness and paraesthesia then a neurological cause can be suspected.

I suggest you to improve your nutrition with increased protein consumption and exercise regularly to build up the muscle mass.

Brief Answer:
Get Nerve onduction studies done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If you have numbness, then it most likely is neurological.

Do consult neurologist and get a nerve conduction study done to identify the pattern of the disease to formulate treatment.
