Question : What can be done to diminish red/brown patches left by psoriasis?
HI user,
Thanks for writing in.
Psoriasis after healing gives rise to yelllow brown patches.Usually when psoriasis is treated by anthralene or coal tar based products pigmentation is more.
This pigmentation is difficult to treat and is stubborn.
The different options to treat it would be-
mild topical steroids
Hydroquinone based creams XXXXXXX butter based moisturizers
Kojic acid and other skin lightening agents
Few clinic based procedures like micro dermabrasion can be used with caution
Protecting the skin from sunlight would be also helpful
Hope this helps.
I would be available for follow up questions that you may have.
