Question : Hai Doctor,
Repested eyeinflammation.Using steroid drops and lubricating drops formote than 8months.after we stop using the steriod drops redness,pain in eyelids again occurs.Is there any supplement I can use so that I wont get the inflammation again

Hey thanks for your question . We have to find the cause of it and If it is inflammatory or allergic or due to gland involvement . I would like to know what your ophthalmologist says. If you have any reports kindly forward them to me dear . And also I would like to know are the steroids tapered and then stopped ? Lubricants you can use without any fear as they dont have any side effects. A supplement of Omega red fatty acid can be take for gland inflammation but it has to be diagnosed first. Hai Doctor,

Thanks for the prompt reply.I have checked the thyroid hormone and other blood tests as per the advice of the opthalmologist.All are fine.The doctor said that it is uveitis ,but after somemonths it is said to be inflammatory. The inflammation occurs inthe right eye repeatedly.alsodiagonosed with dryeye.
The steroid drops are tapered.
FMl drops-4ti-2 weeks
3ti-2weeks
1ti-onemonth after that stop
Genteal-4ti a day

Please help me tocure this completely.Also suggest a good brand for Omega3 capsules.

hey thanks for the follow up queries . Uveitis is associated with arthritis , autoimmune conditions like sarcoidosis , Lupus , rheumatoid arthritis ans also tuberculosis and syphilis . I advise you to get all these tests also . Omegared is a good brand of omega three fatty acids available in XXXXXXX . Steroids is the standard treatment of uveitis dear given either orally , via drops or by injections . hope my answer helps you . Regards
