Hello

Thanks for the query

Hard and painful lump is usually an inflammatory lump.

I would like to know the colour of the skin around it

Are you having any fever or not

It is better to get an ultrasound done so as to exclude any underlying pathology

Till then you can take NSAID means non steroid anti inflammatory drugs for pain relief under your doctor's guidance

Apply SU-MAG ointment locally

It would be better if you show it to a surgeon or dermatologist

I hope you are not diabetic

Take care

Any further query is most welcome
