Question : hydromorphone XXXXXXX gluten free? it was on the gluten free list of med but now it is no longer there? My mother has
celiac disease and has been very ill

Thanks for query,
As from history and your query I understood that your mother is having celiac disease and chronic back pain for which she use to take hydromorphone XXXXXXX gluten free which is fine.
Although hydromorphone is narcotic drug it may contain starch as inactive component which may be of wheat and hence contraindicated for patient with celiac disease.there are pharmaceuticals which have hydromorphone preparation made gluten free like mallinckrodt pharma etc.,
you can consult your physician for further help regarding availablity of the gluten free product.
