Question : Hello Doctor,
My mum is 68 years old and has recently met a new partner who is 73 years old. He has genital warts, my mum would like to know if she is at risk of infection, He says he has had them for years and nothing to worry about, he has them on his back aswell.

I have gone through your history.

Genital warts are usually infective in nature so your mom might be at risk of acquiring infection.

Both of them should consult dermatologist or venereal disease specialist to have detailed evaluation and management.

Until diagnosis is confirmed, they should avoid sexual relationship.
