                                            Question :  I have a hard lump in my wrist at the base of my thumb.  it hurt for quite some time but then there was a pop and it hurt but so much few days later .  Now it doesn't hurt, it's just getting bigger. Any thougts??

The round swelling around the wrist are mostly Ganglions.
These are cystic swellings filled with clear fluid and are fluctuating.
They can be painful/painless but are unsightly and uncomfortable.
You should get examined by a surgeon- at times they get well by aspiration of fluid and steroid injection in it but at other times surgical excision is necessary.
