Hi XXXXXX.

Thank you for putting up your problem to Healthcare Magic!
The elbow is usually darker then the surrouding skin and it can be particularly so if you wear half sleeves shirts or have to sit for long with elbow on hard surfaces.
It increases the friction and which results in increased melanin deposition.
Aother reason may be the driess.
You should avoid pressure at elbows and wear full sleeves most of the times.
Use emollient cream locally twice a day e.g. lotion Zinc calamin to decrease the local hyperkeratiization of skin of the elbows.
You can use local depigmentation cream like melatite twice a day till the behavioral interventions correct your problem.
I hope this information would be both informative and helpful for you.
Note: Hope the answers resolves your concerns, however for further guidance of skin related queries consult our Dermatologist.Click here to book a consultation
