Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

You have provided with good information, I appreciated it. In order to guide you appropriately, I will need a few more details regarding your problem, so please answer the following questions in as much detail as possible.

Do you have nausea, vomiting, jaundice, tingling sensation along your hands, racing heart ?

Does the flatulence and chest pain increase during food intake, does it get relieved with food, water, fluids or any medication ?

How is your recent blood pressure measurement, cholesterol levels?

Are you on medication for your heart condition ?

According to your history it appears that the chest pain, flatulence could be part of a symptom complex of esophago-gastritis. The pain may come on suddenly associated with heart-burn, sweating, headache, weakness. Also associated may be nausea, vomiting and sometimes diarrhea.

The other possible cause could be chest pain of heart origin. In such a case, there would be shortness of breath, tingling sensation over the left arm upto little finger, weakness, giddiness, body pain etc. Body pain could also be due to age factor, infection, disuse etc. Body pain can be relieved by pain killers like Paracetamol or Acetaminophen under medical supervision after required physical examination and relevant investigations have been done and does not contraindicate it's use.

If the pain gets relieved by food, soothing fluids like milk, antacids, it is possible gastritis could be the issue.

But to be certain you will need a thorough checkup by your Doctor given your history of heart disease and the triple bypass surgery.

Kindly follow the diet instructions as advised by your Doctor. Eat food less in spice, warm temperature, soft in consistency for least irritation to stomach. Avoid fatty diet, junk food, colas, smoking and alcohol. Eat fruits and XXXXXXX leafy vegetables. Keep well hydrated. Get 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Avoid stress as much as possible.

Get blood pressure, cholesterol measurement done regularly to decide appropriate dose for management for better response to treatment.

Kindly respond to my queries.

I hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Wishing good health.

Regards,
