Question : high calcium in the blood, osteoporosis and parathyroid lab tests are poor. can large amounts of ethol. be the problem.
Dear patient,
Large amounts of alcohol presdispose to osteoporosis, but hypercalcemia in the setting of abnormal parathyroid tests is suggestive of hyperparathyroidism, which can be primary or secondary. Unlikely to be directly caused by alcohol. An endocrinologist would be best qualified to guide further tests and determine the specific cause.
