Question : Have hip replacement - 3 years ago - fell on my butt hard and have a bruise at bottom of my right butt cheek - sore like a deep bruise but doesn't hurt all the time - only when I sit on it or hv pressure on it. Walk just fine. Do I need to have it X-rayed?

Brief Answer:
can monitor if can ambulate safely

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If there are no problems with ambulation and the pain is only present when pressure is applied to the area on sitting or palpation, then you can consider monitoring for now

if there are any changes in the nature of the pain or any bruising worsens beyond normal expected change (bruising normally worsens by day 24 to 48 hours, then stabilises then improves slowly)- then you should be seen

If there is any obvious deformity- then should be seen
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
