Question : Have hsd ectopic heartbeat for approx 27 yrs. Now my heart skips and "shudders" badly when I am laying down. I am female 62 years old. This is becomimg troublesome. Should I see my GP? Thank you. Oh, BP normal.

I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you should visit GP or better cardiologist.
BP may be OK but pulse rate may be elevated which is causing you to feel the heart beat.
You again may be having irregular heart beat, tachycardia or ectopic heart beat.
An electrocardiogram is needed or probably even an ultrasound.
