                                    Hello, XXXXXX,
I understand that you have had constipation problems,
I am assuming for more than six months. You are on
Lactulose that helps to relieve constipation. When you
tell us that you are feverish, have you really taken your
temperature to see if you have fever. Sometimes, you
may have a warm sensation, but not actually fever.
It is possible to have diverticulosis and also IBS symtoms.
Usually, with diverticulitis, you have lower abdominal pain,
nausea, vomiting and also diarrhea, even bloody.
I am glad you are scheduled for sigmoidoscopy soon.
I would have preferred a full or total colonoscopy at your age.
Discuss this with your doctor.I understand your National
Healthcare system is different from ours.
Wish you well.
