An infected tooth may result in an abscess which ultimately have its own complication. Therefore It is recommended to show up to a dentist as you may require antibiotic therapy.

For pain relief you can use mefnamic acid or ibuprofen and antiseptic oral wash also very effective in elimination of infection.
