Question : i have a pain in upper left side of stomach area right below rib cage
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The site of pain indicates that it could be due to stomach pathology more commonly acid peptic disease.
If the pain is burning in nature or is associated with nausea and indigestion, then the symptoms are for sure due to acid peptic disease.
Do try antacids like Pepto or Gelusil to get some immediate relief. If you find relief with the above antacids then it confirms that the pain is due to acidity.
You can then take Tab PRILOSEC OTC once in the morning before breakfast for a week to get rid of the problems completely.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
