Hello,

Thank you for posting a query.

Look, boil is an infection of the hair follicle. So, home remedies will not be very helpful. Moreover, applying any home remedy may aggravate the situation.

So, you should apply an antibiotic ointment like mupirocin. It will be very helpful.

Keep the area clean and dry.

Along with this, you should take a broad spectrum antibiotic like doxycycline, depending upon the size of the boil.

If the boil is small, antibiotic ointment is enough. But large boil should be treated with broad spectrum antibiotic like doxycycline.

So, you should consult with your family physician for clinical examination and for prescribing antibiotic ointment.

Hope this information suffices. Let me know, if you have any more question.

Regards.
