Question: I am 61 and I have smelly discharge a little staining in my underwear wondering if it is Prostate or infection?

Hi,

At your age, the most important cause is urinary tract infection; with enlarged prostate being the unlerlying cause.
Also, it could be discharge from foreskin related infection.

Hence the next steps would be detailed physical examination followed by urine analysis. A physician nearby can perform the examination and order for urine analysis. Treatment will be based on the findings and urine analysis report.
