Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Acidity issues can be caused by some stomach problems or it can be a disease itself (it is called GERD - gastroesophageal reflux disease).

Stomach issues which can give acid reflux are stomach inflammation, Helicobacter Pylori infection, peptic ulcers or even stomach cancer. Bad diet can also trigger acid reflux. As stomach cancer is a serious disease it is necessary to rule it out at first.
That is why, gastroscopy is a first test which should be done. During this test also Helicobacter Pylori infection can be checked. You need to know that H.Pylori eradication can set you free from symptoms.

If all stomach issues will be ruled out and GERD will be your final diagnose, medicines like Omeprazole should be prescribed.

In a meanwhile please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, fried foods, coffee, fruit juices, alcohol. Do not eat before sleeping (last meal should be 2 hours before sleeping). Try to eat regularly.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
