Have Swelling In Hands, Red Rashes On Legs And Neck. Took Ibuprofen For Fever. Any Cure?

Question: Red rash on legs (both) and neck wrist and hand pain. Bad swelling in hands. Fever for 1 week that comes and goes. take 800mg ibuprofen and fever subsides, but swelling remains.

Thanks for the query and photographs.
Red rash with fever, swelling and pain in joints indicate towards collagen vascular disorder, like lupus or Rheumatoid arthritis. It is an auto immune disorder in which there is production of antibodies against body parts like skin, bone etc hence leading to formation of rash and joint inflammation.

Please XXXXXXX a dermatologist as soon as possible. You may need treatment with systemic steroids, to prevent further complications like joint contracture.

Only ibuprofen is not going to help. Let me know if you have any further doubts.
