Question : Repeat pelvic US for ovarian cysts (2 months later) shows mild right hydronephrosis, should I be concerned? I am a 31yo F having unilateral flank pain radiating to back and buttocks

                                    Welcome to the forum.
Mild hydronephrosis with pain in a background of ovarian cysts need further evaluation.
The next step would be to do CT SCAN ABDOMEN AND PELVIS or an IVP to look for a obstructing cause. Also renal function tests and urine analysis are mandatory.
Based on the findings of these tests, further steps would be taken.
Hope this helps.
best regards

Thank you for your quick response. If left untreated will it go away or heal on it's own?

                                    Welcome back.
Hydronephrosis is due to some problem down the urine pipe- ureter, in your case tumour or stone. So it needs to be addressed.
As i said, IVP or CT is a must.
It cannot be left untreated, as it may lead to kidney damage.
Hope this helps.
