Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
From the description that you have given, it appears that you could be having a infectious lesion probably a bacterial infection in the form of a furuncle or abscess.
The fact that it has reduced in size suggests that it is healing and unless you are a diabetic, you need not worry at this stage.
However you should see a doctor in case
1) It increases in size
2) Its tenderness increases
3) It bursts open
4) You have a fever.
Otherwise there is nothing to worry. IN case if it persists you need to take a course of anti-biotics such as cefexime or ciprofloxacin.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
