Having A Pain Full Lump Between Groin And Lower Abdomen. Any Idea What Is It?

Question: I have a painful, small lump in the area between my groin and lower abdomen. It's a burning kind of pain and the lump seems to have flattened out a bit in the last 24 hours. It's somewhat centrally located. It is painful to the touch. Any ideas what this could be?

Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
From the description that you have given, it appears that you could be having a infectious lesion probably a bacterial infection in the form of a furuncle or abscess.
The fact that it has reduced in size suggests that it is healing and unless you are a diabetic, you need not worry at this stage.
However you should see a doctor in case
1) It increases in size
2) Its tenderness increases
3) It bursts open
4) You have a fever.
Otherwise there is nothing to worry. IN case if it persists you need to take a course of anti-biotics such as cefexime or ciprofloxacin.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
