Hello,

Thanks for the query.

You're a diabetic and want to know about fruits you can have in your diet which will not interfere with the blood sugar.

Fruits contains natural fibers, vitamins, enzymes and other vital nutrients that a diabetic will need to maintain normal lifestyle.

Below are the list of some fruits that can be taken.

1. Apple; Pears; Apricot; Blueberries; Pomegranate; Avocados; etc. - These are high in fibres and beneficial.

2. Apple; Orange; Grapes; Cherries; Pears; Plum; etc. - These have low glycemic index and can be taken in moderation.

3. Apple; Pears; Guavas contain fructose which are good for diabetics because fructose does not need insulin for its metabolism.

Hope it helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards

Hello,

Thanks for the query,

You have retinal detachment, double vision and headache.
Eye is one organ which is affected by prolonged hyperglycemia.
Diabetics develop Diabetic retinopathy due to chronic diabetes.
To improve all the symptoms it was very rightly suggested by your ophthalmologist to control your blood sugar tightly.

I have listed some suggestion which you can follow

1.Diet plays a major role.
You divide your diet into three parts.
1/3rd for Carbohydrates. (RICE and WHEAT).
2/3rd for vegetables, greens, pulses.
Small quantity for fats. (Olive oil, Sesame oil).

2.Regular Exercise.
You should not do heavy exercise due to retinal detachment.
Brisk walking, involving in day to day activities.

3.Follow the diabetic treatment and regularly visit your doctor.

Don't expose your eyes to bright light.

Hope it helps you.
