Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Brief answer...it could be the begining of fever.
Detailed answer.
Chills are feelings of coldness accompanied by shivering. Chills normally occurs in two situations .Either it is as an accompaniement of fever or it occurs after exposure to some cold environment.
The most common causes for infection which can produce chills are...
Viral infection
Bacterial infections
Malaria
Pneumonia
Kidney infections or urinary tract infections etc.
Normally symptoms are watched and you are advised to take ACETAMINOPHEN for fever and take plenty of oral fluids and complete rest.
If your fever doesn't resolve in next 72 hours, then you are advised to consult your doctor for proper examination and investigations so as to diagnose the exact cause and treatment.
I hope it helps however you may revert to me for any further query.
Bet of luck
Thanks
