Having Cycle 20 To 21 Days. Had Sex Without Protection. Chances Of Pregnancy?
Question: my cycle is usually 20-21 days. i got my periods on 3rd july 2013. i am worried because we did not use any precaution on 15th july. are there any chances of conceiving? what can i do now?i am very anxious.
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Usually in case of regular 20 to 21 days cycles, the ovum can release on around 7th to 9th day of the cycle.
As 15th July is the 12th day of the cycle, the possibility of pregnancy is somewhat less. But cannot be completely ruled out.
As it is more than 72 hours over after the intercourse, now no precaution can work.
So you wait till your expected date of periods and if you miss the periods, go for pregnancy test once.
Depending on the result of the test further management can be planned.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer your follow up queries. If you are satisfied with all my answer, please rate the answer after closing the discussion.
