Question : we are having a unplanned 5th week pregnancy so we did a scan and the gynecologist have given a tablet of pantodac 40 mg for termination of pregnancy.. please help is this the right or appropriate priscription...

pantodac is not used for termination of pregnancy

Hi,

Pantodac 40 mg is a drug belonging to proton pump inhibitors. This is used to treat gastritis problem. This is not used to terminate a pregnancy. This will definitely not cause abortion.

Mifeprestone and Misoprostol are the drugs used for medical termination of pregnancy.

Please get back to her Gynecologist and get the appropriate medicines prescribed, as suggested.
