Hello!
Welcome back on - Ask a Doctor - service!
I passed carefully through your concern and after reviewing your medical file would explain that your health issues seem to be managed at the best possible.
Your coronary and peripheral arteries lesions are being treated through percutaneous angioplasty and this will give the opportunity for long arterial patency.
But, this is not enough; life-style modification and a correct continuous treatment are an important component that could prolong as much as possible the beneficial effects of the ongoing angioplasty procedures. And it seems that you are on the right way considering your actual therapy and daily life-style.
Your cardiac conditions are stable and the measured aortic diameter seems stationary.
Coming to this point, I would conclude that your clinical situation gives hope that you may perfectly manage your health issues and maintain a rationale strategy to properly deal with your chronic cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular components.
So, just be optimistic and never give up!
There is no place for getting upset, as your health problems seem to have an optimal solution.
Just continue with the actual strategy to control all the coronary risk factors and a healthy life!
Hope to have been helpful to you!
In case of any further questions, feel free to ask me again.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri

It is just that the doctor in question was negative and not reassuring and a bit officious...but once I have legs done in about a month or two...I will be able to walk more...the diet is definitely Mediterranean that we eat...but he said that other coronary arteries could develop blockages....regardless of the high dose of Crestor that I take...I thought that Crestor stopped the progression of atherosclerosis.

Hello again!
I could say that your doctor has confirmed is only one side of the possible clinical spectrum (the worse one).
But there is also the other most common alternative, where you following a healthy lifestyle and correct therapy could control the coronary artherosclerotic process and not only.
No one could predict which part of the spectrum will be, but if you are on the right side of prevention, the probability of an excellent result would be very high.
The most important thing is a healthy behaviour and a careful medical follow up.
So, nothing to worry too much about!
Best regards,
Dr. Iliri
