Hello! Back In 2017 I Had A Series Of Three

treatment done and when I went for a consultation for one at a different dermatologist’s office, the information sheet which they gave me indicated one of the possible side effects could be that the treatment “makes it potentially harder to identify skin-related diseases, e.g. skin cancer”.
Again, I had a full skin cancer screening prior to the IPL treatments which I had and have continued to have regular skin cancer screenings since. Do you feel there is anything for me to worry about? I presume that since I had no skin cancer lesions on my face at the time of the treatments there would be no need to worry...? Thank you in advance for any reassurances which you can provide!’

Regarding IPL and skin cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hello. welcome to healthcarmagic.
I am dr. kakkar.
I have noted your concern.
You can continue with your IPL treatments. Continue with your sunscreen too regularly. There is nothing to worry as IPL treatment doesn't interfere with skin cancer detection and since you don't have any suspicious lesions on face you need not worry. Take care. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
