                                            Question : Hello.  Can Sclerotherapy be used to successfully treat Grade 3 prolapse internal hemorrhoids and, if so, would it cause scarring?

                                    Hello and thank you for replying.  It is my understanding that Sclerotherapy is only recommended for internal hemorrhoids that are Grades 1 and 2, but not 3 or 4.  If you happen to agree with this assessment, then would you know the reason why and, also, does the fact that they are prolapse have any impact? Though sclerotherapy is usually recommended for Grade 1 and 2 hemorrhoids, all four grades of hemorrhoids can be treated by sclerotherapy. Prolapse will not have any impact.
