Question : Hello. Could you please review my xray - having pain in shoulder joint upon movement up and also a crossed body. Also when laying on that arm. Active softball and tennis player for years. (Suspected tear) Thank you. XXXXXXX

Hello,

I have gone through your query and reviewed attached images. Here is my advice.

As per your history and attached images, pain may be due to shoulder sprain as x ray seems to be normal.

Please let me know,
Do you have numbness or tingling sensation in upper limbs, neck pain?

For further assessment I would suggest you to consult with orthopedician for detailed clinical examination.

He may procure MRI neck with shoulder joint, nerve conduction studies to rule out any other possibilities for ligamental injury /nerve compression as per evaluation.

Till then for pain you can take tablet Ibuprofen (advil). Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally. Heating pads will also help. Restrict your movements.
