Brief Answer:
you need lifestyle changes for now

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query. I have read it and understand your health concerns.

You are right in saying that you are facing an acidic issue, I agree with it. At your age of 27 years, you need not worry much about it. However, you need to make some lifestyle changes now to feel better in the future and be able to eat hot and spicy food like you said.

You do not need to do any scans as of now.

I would suggest you the following measures:

- For now, you should avoid all spicy and oily and fried foods.
- You should avoid junk food, packed and processed foods, and food from outside of any kind.
- Please drink plenty of water everyday up to a minimum of 2 litres, one tender coconut water everyday, and 2 glasses of buttermilk everyday.
- Consume bland food like curd rice, plain dal rice, and idlis for the next 4 weeks.
- You need to be stress-free also because that can increase acidity as well, so you must know to de-stress yourself often.
- Go for morning walks to get fresh air, do deep breathing exercises, yoga and meditation (you can learn to do them, if you do not know), listen to music or pursue your hobby.

Also, you would require medications for the next four weeks. I would suggest you to take Tablet Pantocid 40mg once daily early in the morning on an empty stomach for next 4 weeks. This is a prescription drug, please get it prescribed by your doctor.

Your symptoms should improve by the end of 4 weeks. Please let me know how you feel by then.

Also, let me know about doubts or clarifications that you may have.

Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr Shanthi E
