Question : Hello Doctor, I am 39 years old, recently about 6 months back there was a red circular area on the glans penis with no symptoms. about a week ago I suddenly noticed that the area had turned hypo pigmented but so far I have barely noticed it because it was symptomless. I am little worried and I tried to prick that spot and I was getting sensation. I have attached a picture.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have viewed the image and gone through the query.

The spots seems like that of vitiligo. Vitiligo can start as a hypopigmented spot that later turns into a depigmented spot.. I suggest you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05% ointment(Flutivate ointment), twice daily for a few weeks.
