I have a rash on my lower left leg that is reddish. It is rather itchy. I noticed the itch a couple of weeks earlier but did not expect it to be persistent. I have used moisturisers and aloe vera but it does not seem to be helping. The itch and unease has reduced considerably after using moisturizers but the skin is still red.

I also suggest you to apply a topical steroid cream e.g either triamcinolone acetonide 0.1 %cream or Betamethasone valerate 0.1% cream (Betnovate) twice daily.
