Hello Doctor, I Have Been Suffering From Frequent Urination Issue
I have been suffering from frequent urination issue since early age...around 18 or so.
I don't have any other issue as I follow a strict diet usually and been working out regulary since that age till now, I am 41 now.
My annual test reports in these years also shown no other symptoms also in these years. I have tried homeo in the past but with limited help.
Urination frequency is almost 45 min to 1 hours.
I always feel bladder full despite of changing intake of water ( less or more). I follow a vegetarian diet so my protien supplement intake is also not high ( 1 to 2 scoop of whey protein that too not regularly)
Even during sleep, I need to go to washroom in every 1 hour. I have also attached my latest health report.
The amount of urination is around a cup.
A few years back, I even had got done ultrasound also but even that came normal to find out if its due to large prostate.
Is there any medicine that could help me to reduce this issue?
You have what is called as Over Active Bladder (OAB)
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have what is called as Over Active Bladder(OAB)
With all results of the tests and Ultrasound being normal increased frequency for urination that you have could be mostly due to two reasons
1) Over Active Bladder
2) Enlarged Prostate
Since you have not uploaded the report of Ultrasound Scanning I would not be able to make precise pomments hence I would suggest you to upload the USG report .
In the meanwhile start taking
1) Tab Merabregon 25 mg twice daily and Tomsulosin 0.4 mg once daily and observe your symptoms after two weeks of treatment .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions, I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
Dr.Patil.
I will get a new ultrasound once pandemic settles down. The last one I had got was around 2017.
I also follow up with you 2 weeks after after taking these meds.
O.K
