Question : Hello Doctor. I have twins (Girls) and one of them generally stands very close to the TV often. The other twin does not do that as frequently as this one. I'm worried if she is long sighted. Both are 4.3 yrs old. Generally while reading or writing they don't show any such symptomps.

Thanks for writing to us.
Standing close to the TV could be an early symptom of myopia. This is very common in this age. While reading and writing hey may not show any difficulty as the object is close to eye.

My advice
1. Get eye checked up.
2. If any refractive error, it needs to be corrected with glasses.
3. Avoid standing close to Tv as the rays can be harmful.
