Brief Answer:
Bland diet with fruits....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If he is proved to have dengue infection then I recommend he drinks plenty of fluids. He will also need to take bland diet without spices. Add plenty of fruits and vegetables to the diet - ones with low glycemic index. Make sure he doesn't skips food.
As far as monitoring is concerned, as long as fever persists, it is important to check platelet every day. It should continue until platelet count normalizes.
Hope this answered your query. Let me know if you need clarifications.
