Question : Hello Doctor,

My friend is being troubled by some sort of skin allergy (please see the photo attached). He has this similar allergy on other parts of his body as well, like at the tail bone area. Please advise.

Since when does he have this skin problem?
Are the cracks in the lesion developed on own or occurred due to trauma ?
Does he have any other health issues?
Does he have any joint-related problem?

Since when does he have this skin problem?
- A couple of months.

Are the cracks in the lesion developed on own or occurred due to trauma ?
- These were because of trauma/itching

Does he have any other health issues?
- No, but he is overweight

Does he have any joint-related problem?
- No

Thanks for the information.

I have seen the image attached.

The appearance makes me suspicious of Lichen Planus.

I strongly recommend you to visit a dermatologist for a thorough clinical examination to diagnose the condition.

The earlier it is diagnosed, the better recovery we can expect.

I will not recommend you to use any over the counter medications which may not end in favouring your health.
