                                            Question : Hello Doctor, my girl is suffering from a toothache. Her right jaw is swollen and she is feeling pain on the right side. She has two molar teeth on the lower side both of them have got decay. The current status is almost 50% damaged, however, the base of teeth is still strong. I will visit the local dentist but before that could you please recommend any meds to get her instant relief.

No allergy.
- Have you given any painkillers to her previously like Paracetamol, Ibuprofen or any other for any pain or fever?
Ibuprofen 5ml in the morning 6.00 am her weight is 6kg
- Swelling is present since how long?
Since yesterday.

For relieving the pain you can give her 5ml of Ibuprofen three times a day.
So as you gave in the morning you can repeat a dose now so that she can sleep well...
Along with it, do cool compresses over the cheek.
However at times the pain is not completely subsided till tooth is treated, but she will definitely improve.
