Hello I Am A 47 Year Old Female And Had
Question: Hello I am a 47 year old female and had some blood tests done I got my results on line but wont be able to see my doctor until next week can you help me interpret something I don't understand
egfr of 83 is my number below it says an egfr from 60-89 is consistent with mildly decreased kidney function. However in the absence of other evidence of kidney disease values in this range do not fullfill the kdgo criteria for chronic kidney disease. Interpret results in concert with ACR measurements. I also have a other question about my cholestral is at 7.21 and hdl is 2.02 non hdl 5.
19 hdl 4.87 and ldl-c 3.6
19 hdl 4.87 and ldl-c 3.6
Brief Answer:
Please upload the entire report!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.
I have reviewed your query fully. To be of most help, I need to see the entire report. However, an eGFR of 83 is good and there is no need to worry about it.
With that said, I will like to see the entire report before commenting on the other parameters. The main issue is that laboratory methods are slightly different and the normal intervals vary and always needed for appropriate interpretation.
Hope your fears about the eGFR are addressed. Looking forward to the uploaded report before providing further reports in this light.
Regards

Brief Answer:
HDL normal. Total cholesterol elevated. Non HDL elevated!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your numbers are not excellent but for the HDL. I will encourage you to watch your fat intake as well as weight. I encourage you to exercise often. The decision to use a statin or not should be guided by your doctor evaluating the 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease.
I hope this guides and helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me as you please.
