Question : Hello,
I am suffering from duodenal ulcer and by that from few past days i am suffering gastric pain on left side of chest in different points.Now i met a Doc and i have suggested with 2 medicine which is Somaprazol D 40 and an anti anxiety tablet.I have taken Somaprazol D 40 in morning before break fast but again I am feeling little bit gastric pain in chest can I take ACLOC 150 before food again in night??

Don't take aciloc that contain rannitidine. Detailed below.

Hello,
Thanks for asking in 'Ask A Doctor service'.

The aciloc contain rannitidine which is having function of reducing gastric acid secretion.
You are already taking esomeprazole(somaprazole d40) anatacid which is best medication to decrease acid secretion.

So two drugs with same mechanism is not advisable to take daily. Hence I don't recommend the use of aciloc.

Kindly wait for few more days. The esmoprazole is the best medication to reduce acid secretion and your ulcer will heal in few days. So pain will gradually subside in upcoming days as soon as ulcer start to heal with use of esomeprazole.
