Question: Hello, I am taking 30 mg of Latuda twice a day for schizoaffective disorder, 100 mg of Luvox once a day for OCD and anxiety, and 5 mg of propranolol twice a day for tachycardia. Today my doctor gave me 5 mg tablets of trintellix. On the internet it said luvox and trintellix increase the toxicity of each other via serotonin levels so you should not take these two together. Is it okay to take these two together?

Detailed Answer:
Hi madam,
Welcome to Ask a doctor service,

I have gone through your query in detail and can understand your concerns towards your drug interactions.

Yes, there is a possibility of increased serotonin levels with these two drugs.

But, the trintellix dose is very less.
Even then , as per my advise both the drugs were not required as those two medicine belong to same group that is antidepressants.

So , please discuss with your doctor regarding this.

Hope this information would would help you.
