Question: Hello! I am writing on behalf of my doughter. From three days she has had elevated fewer and I made the blood exams. May it be covid? The labourant doctor told me that I don't like the high levels of ferritin and the anemia because they don't usually go together? should I be worried? Thank you

Brief Answer:
The reports indicate the presence of an infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I already reviewed the attached reports.
The results of the reports are as follows:
-High monocytes and lymphocytes usually indicate a viral infection.
-The high PCR level indicates an inflammatory condition which can be caused any any type of infection
-Ferritin levels are normal on the results.
-Low HCT and HGB may indicate anemia.

To conclude, the reports indicate the presence of a viral infection.
I recommend to do an RT-PCR test to exclude covid 19.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards!
