Question : Hello, I had 6 beers 7 days ago and did the EtG test after exactly 168 hours after last consumption. What are my chances of being positive for 100ng/mL? Please advise.

I have gone through your query and here is my advise.

As you have done the EtG test after 7 days, so chances of being positive are very less.

EtG test usually detects alcohol consumption up to 3 to 4 days only.

Still, EtG test is not a definitive test as it may come positive for 100ng/mL if you used products containing alcohol like mouthwash, hand sanitizers etc in last 3 to 4 days.

So this test should be supported by another confirmatory test.

Thank you for reply.

Negative EtG test confirms about alcohol abstinence in last 3 to 4 days, but positive test may require additional confirmatory test as there is chance of false positive results as explained in previous answer.
