Question : Hello. I had a CT scan and do not understand one part. Heterogeneous hypo-attenuation within endometrial canal, most likely related to menstruation. Fibroids, or something else??
Brief Answer:
Heterogenum hypoattenuation refers to endometrial changes caused by fibroid
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Heterogenum hypo attenuation is a term used in the interpretation of the CT scan which is related to the changes in the endometrium.
The most common cause of this change are fibroid so which are benign muscular growth.
The fact that you have already treated fibroids confirm this possible cause.
I see trough the query that you have already treated the fibroids through histeroscopy.
So, I would only recommend regular follow ups with your gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
