Question : Hello I have noticed on back of left side of tongue a purple taste bud I was recently taking taking antibiotics for infection of throat any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Well, a purple taste bud on the back of tongue when there was an ongoing throat infection can be most probably due to inflammation of the taste bud due to infection..

Im trying to get a picture but having trouble I can describe far left hand side a taste bud purple along with irritation possible still infection in throat.

Well, it looks like inflammation only.
Do warm saline gargles.
Avoid spicy, hot, and hard foods for the time being...
Drink plenty of water.
Drink warm liquids...
