Hello, I Showed Up Positive For Oxazepram In My Drug

Question: Hello,

I showed up positive for oxazepram in my drug urine test. I have never taken this drug, Can Zoloft or Venlafaxine (both drugs I was prescribed at different times), cause oxazepram to show positive in my urine? I understand that diazepam metabolizes into temazepam and nordazepam and then to oxazepam. I did not show positive for temazepam nor nordiazepam. If Sertraline or Venlafaxine could show positive for Oxazepram in the urine, is there a known way the SSRI breaks down in the body chemically to form oxazepram? I am trying to give am explanation and understand why I was showing positive for oxazepram in my urine. I was also taking some diet pills at the time (Contrave) Thank you

I don't think the drugs will be converted to Oxazepam.

No I don't think Zoloft or Venlafaxine are converted in Oxazepam by metabolism in body. But yes some SSRIs especially Zoloft are known to show false positive results in drug screens for benzodiazepines in some rare cases.

But I don't think the drugs got converted to Oxezepam in body.
