Question : Hello, I was attacked by a large dog which has caused me several injuries including a torn rotator cuff; since the trauma I have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress and now have been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia causing me difficulty swallowing and chest pain ;
Could there be a causal relationship between the trauma and the hiatal hernia..

It's just a coincidence that hiatal hernia was diagnosed after dog bite trauma dear. As such they are not related. As hiatal hernia is internal it could neither be caused by dogs bite nor by post traumatic stress.
