Question : Hello,
I've had mild pain when sitting down for the last few weeks, didn't think much of it.
However a few days ago when showering I noticed I had developed quite a big tunnel-like hole near my anus.
My only symptoms are fluid discharge from the hole, as well as pain when sitting down.
I already made an appointment with the doctor, but I'm trying to understand what could it be? An anal fistula?
Best regards,

Brief Answer:
It looks like Anal Fistula
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it looks like Fistula in Ano.
Most commonly,it occurs when an Abscess that is present in the Peri Anal region gets ruptured. After rupture,it discharges pus.In some individuals, after usage of Antibiotic, the hole will close completely.
In some, the hole persists with continuous discharge of pus or fluid .It is called Fistula in Ano .
The whole fistulous tract has to be removed Surgically.
Nothing to worry
Please consult a Surgical Gastroenterologist and proceed further.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health
