Hello. My Doctor Wants Me To Take Prilesac Every Day

Question: Hello. My doctor wants me to take Prilesac every day indefinitely. Is it safe. I have been taking it on and off for years, but she wants me to take it all the time. Also...are there any natural alternatives. I am 50 years old...I also smoke...and have cronic constipation...My heart has an extra beat..it's not to bothersome and the only medication I am taking is 2 caps of Mirilax for the constipation for years ...doesn't work very well. Other than that my health is pretty good.

The treatment with Prilosec (Omeprazole) can last for 14 days and there is no need to take it indefinitely. Other more natural alternatives are Maalox, mylanta or time that can be found over the counter.
The antiacids can make you constipated do you can add more water and fibers to your diet while being on them. Also you can take mirilax as usual.
