Question : Hello,
My question has to do with medical marijuana and the CA125 blood test. My CA 125 tests have always been at a score of 5. Today it came back at 53. I have been on medical marijuana for a little under 2 weeks. My husband said he saw that the marijuana can effect this score. What can anyone tell me regarding this? Thank you!

Marijuana is not known to raise CA 125 level

Thanks for your query.

CA 125 is sometimes elevated falsely because of various reasons. But marijuana is not known to give false positive high CA 125 results.

Marijuana can cause elevated beta HCG levels but that is not relevant here.

So I would suggest discussing with your doc regarding further investigations for raised CA 125.
